Bowel Scout is an independent, early-stage California restroom finder. We need honest feedback from people beyond our own friends and family. A three-minute test of the website is useful even if you have never visited any of the listed bathrooms. Browsing is free and does not require an account.

Try these four small tasks

1. Find an area. Open the map and search for a California city, ZIP code or park you know. You can decline location permission. Please do not share your home address.
2. Choose a possible stop. Select a pin or grouped pins, then open a location. Can you tell which place and address you selected? Does the panel fit on your phone?
3. Check what is known. Find access details, hours, source information and bathroom reviews. Is it clear when restroom access or an accessibility feature is unconfirmed? A business pin alone does not establish restroom access.
4. Plan your next step. Try directions, the list and another location. Tell us about a confusing label, missing control or panel that gets in the way. You do not need to travel or use a bathroom to test these controls.

Send a little scoop

Send website feedback through our public support form. Choose website feedback if offered, or describe it in the message. If you came from a discussion, you can also reply there. Registered members can use Suggestions in the main navigation.

Useful feedback includes:

• What you tried and what happened instead.
• Your phone or computer and browser, if you are comfortable sharing them.
• A city or broad area and the place name, if relevant; exact personal locations are unnecessary.
• Whether you would use it again, and the one change that would help most.

Negative feedback is welcome. Please omit passwords, health details and other people’s personal information. If you include a screenshot, hide any private account information first.

Real visits, real reviews

Only review a bathroom you actually visited. Contributions require an account and follow our community rules; submissions are moderated. We do not ask for invented reviews, staged ratings or photographs of people using facilities. To report incorrect access information, include the source or observation that supports your correction.
